Lebanon, Missouri
Welcome to Lebanon! What a place to be! This truely is the place to
do just about anything! From swimming to boating to camping to fishing. Lebanon
has it all! Lebanon is a beautiful town with the most wonderful attractions!
Bennett Spring State Park
Bennett Spring is the third largest spring in Missouri and the underground
spring pumps an average of 100 million gallons of cold water every day. The temperature
averages about 56-58 degrees. The cool clear waters are stocked daily with trout
from the parks own hatchery. One of the most popular family attractions is throwing
fish pellets into the rearing pools to the always hungry fish. There is a beautiful public
swimming pool nestled right in the middle of the park for the family to enjoy on a hot day
in the ozarks!
Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center
The Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center is a Multipurpose facility that is 26,000
square foot. The civic center was named in honor of the late mayor of Lebanon.
The community center features a 25 meter NCAA-competitive swimming pool which is home of
the Lebanon based Mid-Missouri Torpedoes swim team. The pool is also open for a senior
citizen water excercise program. The Civic Center also features a wellness center with
exercise equipment and multiple gymnasiums are available for the competitive athlete or
the casual jogger. The wellness center offers exercise therapy, toning, shaping, strength
machines and cardiovascular equipment. It also has a 675 seat theater which includes state
of the art sound and lighting system. The theatre is ideal for concerts, travelling
shows, business seminars, presentations, church services and much more! With in the next
several years the parks dept hopes to expand the swimming pool to a large aquatic center
with several pools and a water playground as well as a 15 meter pool.
Get your Kicks on Route 66
Route 66 first came through in 1926 and following 3 decades of travel, many
businesses and attractions still exist on the Route. There is now a Route 66 museum

to enjoy.

Lebanon has 2 speedways to offer its racing fans! On Friday nights the action
is at Midway Speedway. Midway opened it's 3/4 mile dirt oval track in 2004! A very
popular race is the 100 lap enduro, a last man standing race! Nascar driver Kenny Wallace

operation and they make sure we have lots of fun at the track!

track has had many of our own Nascar drivers at it before they made it to Nascar,
those include Tony Stewart, Jamie McMurray and Carl Edwards. Lebanon 1-44 speedway
